Today at 4:14 pm, Cambria turned one year old! I cannot believe that I had a newborn at this time last year. It has been the best year of my life. I truly believe that. Todd and I are better because of Cambria and everything she gives to us. She is the most loved little girl. She can do so much now! We chose to celebrate her tonight and it was the first time she had spaghetti...which she LOVED! Aunt Valerie gave it to her. She just kept wanting more. Also, when it's your birthday, you get to splurge a bit so she had frozen yogurt after dinner. She cried when it was gone! I am so lucky to have been given this little girl from God. I'm thankful every day for her.
I wanted to play around with my camera today so I grabbed the bug bite beauty and my wedding dress (that's been in storage for 5 years) and started shooting. I will have to take these again when she's not so bitten up but since my BABY is about to be a TODDLER on Friday, I wanted to document her. What better way to do this than with my wedding dress as well?!
Yesterday was so hot, Cambria and I headed over to my parents house to swim in their pool. It was so much fun. Cambria got to ride the horse I was given when I was born by my Grandparents. She loved it and didn't want us to stop rocking her. Then, she got to try a Popsicle and she wasn't quite sure what to think of it! She loved her floating raft in the pool and kept trying to rock it and make it go side-to-side. It was a great day.
My two presents next to me this morning....this awesome camera and of course the best present of all, Cambria. I also was served breakfast in bed. I have an amazing family. I am so lucky!
The best present of all!
My first "client", Apollo. He's going to be so sick of me photographing him but he's such a good dog! All I have to say is "biscuit" to get his attention!!!Gotta love how she opens her mouth when you kiss her!
The two loves of my life that made my day even more special!
I love you Valerie, I'm so glad we got to see you today!!!!
I love Valerie's smile in this one!
To our mother's Jackie and Paula, we love you both so very much. We are so grateful to have real life examples of what a mother should be. Cambria is so lucky to have two wonderful grandmother's!!
On Wednesday, Cambria and I met up with Tiffany and Hailey. We decided to go to lunch and then to the San Antonio Zoo. We ate at Joseph's in Alamo Heights. It was VERY good. I had never been there and I would definitely go back. After we ate, we went to the zoo. I have never been to the SA Zoo so this was a fun experience for me to share with my daughter. It was a very hot day but fun to see all the animals. I was quite impressed with how amazing our zoo is! I think the girls had a lot of fun because I know the mom's did! We also got a bonus in the Hippo area....Tim Duncan and his family were there! In fact, as I walked up, I was thinking to myself that this man is very tall and then it clicked as to who it was. I bumped Tiff to let her know and it was funny to see her face change as she too recognized him! I'm sure the dad's are sad that their daughters didn't get pictures with him but we wanted to leave him alone! All in all it was such a fun day that we got to spend with the girls!
