Happy Halloween!

Laundry Time

We were doing laundry and I put Cambria in the basket while I was moving the clothes from washer to dryer. She loved it!

They meet at last

So, Cambria got to meet sweet little Hailey Williams Sunday. Unfortunately, they are too young to interact but soon enough they'll be playing together. Lindsay and Michael were also there so we had a fun time catching up and visiting. We miss you Linds, come back to SA!!

Friday Night Lights and Homecoming

Friday night was Smithson Valley's Homecoming against my Alma mater, Churchill. It was pretty much a blowout, 37-13. It is always fun to go to these games but we don't get to go as much since Todd has Friday swim meets. I love getting to see my former students and how tall/mature they're getting. We had numerous babysitting offers from students and their parents!! Cambria loved the game and she would cry when Todd turned her away from it. All the girls had their mums on and Cambria loved all the ribbons on them. All in all it was a fun Friday night.

5 months

Wednesday Cambria turned 5 months. It's amazing how fast she grows. Here are some of the things she can do
-smile when smiled at
-blow "raspberries"...sometimes after eating and food goes all over you
-grab and grasp...usually my hair...
-laugh as a reaction to something entertaining
-babbles and loves when you "talk" back
-pick up items
-reach for things...such as people, dogs, Elmo....
-grab her feet and toes
-almost sit up unassisted
-eat from a spoon
-attempts to sit up from a laying position

weight-16 lbs
height-24 in.

Playing with Addison

Christie pulled out Addison's swing yesterday for Cambria and it was so funny to watch the two of them (Cambria and Addison) interact. Addison stands in front of the unmoving swing and pushes stuff for Cambria. Then she says the names...she loved the dragon so she'd say it and then Cambria would laugh and she would laugh! I wish I had the video camera, it was too cute.

New Friends

Grandma Paula this past weekend introduced Cambria to Build-a-Bear. We let Cambria "pick" her first one and just like her father, she gravitated toward the puppy one. Hmm.... Well, and being that she's wrapped around her daddy's finger, she got a Husky one, too. As you can see all that she's interested in doing with them right now is putting their ears in her mouth. Everything is going into her mouth. We are definitely at the teething stage!!

Airplanes

My mom has been asking if Cambria has been doing "airplanes" at all. According to her, I did them all the time when I was a baby. I haven't seen Cambria really do it....until today! She just started throwing her arms and legs out so she could lay on her belly! So, there you go mom...Cambria does them, too!! The last picture is just how I found her this morning, laughing and cooing in her bed!

Highchair time!

BEFORE

AFTER

Todd got Cambria a high chair this week ans so we were excited to try it out. She's been sitting up pretty with just a little assistance. She actually grunts and trys to sit up from the laying down position so we figured it was time for a high chair! I think she enjoys being higher up and can see everything. I actually put her in it while I cook so she can watch me. She also likes to look over at the dogs, too! I'm still mostly feeding her runny cereal (sounds yummy, right?) during the day but I had a little sweet potato left so I gave it to her. Looks like the sweet potato won!!

Little Einstein

Cambria has been playing in her Little Einstein Activity Center. She can turn the dials and push the buttons. In fact she likes to slam the duck button and make it quack!!

Solids!

Cambria has been waking up at 12 or 1 am and 3 am lately. All she wants to do is eat and then she falls back to sleep. So, since I had the pediatrician's approval, I decided to try solids on her only at night. I started with cereal only. No such luck! I mixed it with sweet potatoes and she seemed to be okay with it. She doesn't like the texture at all, though! It did help her sleep and she woke up at 6 am today! This was very nice as that I've been exhausted all week!
