A few of my favorites

Here are a few of my favorite photos this week...she had a Valentine's party at school and then we went to watch Todd's Regional Swim Meet. We took the little Valentine home to San Antonio for the day Saturday and headed back Sunday. It was fun to be home and see our families. Cambria was well loved, as always!
She found a stash of her pacifiers from infanthood. She had didn't have much interest in them...just like when she was a baby. It was a cute picture, though. Books and babies are our favorite toys lately. She loves to read and be a little mommy. She carries a baby around all day at school and we have to put baby "night-night" when I pick her up.
Elmo ("Mo mo") and Abby Cadabby ("Babby") are also high on the list and she requests her two favorite DVD's, Elmo's Pets and Abby in Wonderland, every day! I caught Todd singing one of the songs on the way to church Sunday...it's hard not to know ALL of the words when you hear them at least twice daily!

History Repeating

Cambria is able to do a lot of tasks now that her fine motor and gross motor skills are being improved. She loves to shut doors and drawers. Today was no exception. She was helping me in the kitchen feed the dogs. I walked outside to feed Natalya and I hear the door shut behind me. In the window is a little face smiling at me and laughing! Well, she had locked the door...that's what the smile was! After a little coaxing, she unlocked the door and I went back in....forgetting my phone outside! Well, as you may have guessed...she locked me out a second time! Luckily I had a hidden key. Although, I will now hide a SECOND key, just in case.
The reason I say it's history repeating is that one of my mom's favorite stories is the one where I locked her and my dad out. They had to go next door and get a hammer to break the window. One of them distracting me at the back door so that I wouldn't get cut. I was curious then and ran to check out the loud noise.
This is Cambria in a nutshell....my curious and mischeivious first born....she keeps me on my toes!

My Little Model

It's been awhile since I was on here. It's been quite busy the last month or so. Swim season has been in full swing since November. This coming weekend is Regionals and Todd has a freshman swimmer competing! So, after this, I will get my husband back!
Cambria has been a busy little girl. She is doing so much now. She loves to sit and entertain herself. She will play in her kitchen for awhile which helps me get stuff done! She's a rough and tumble but girly girl. She loves to climb on anything and then wants to jump off of it. She at least counts to three to warn you. We call her our little mountain goat. She also loves to clean. She just has to have a wipe and be wiping something down. She had started this at daycare before Thanksgiving and now she's added wearing their latex gloves, too. It's funny to see her sitting in her carseat eating a snack with the gloves on.
Cambria also LOVES babies. She has several at home and then also at school. In fact, when I dropped her off the other day, one of the boys, Colton, saw her come in and ran to get and give her a baby! What a sweetheart! She also loves making sure "Bebe" has clean teeth like her "mommy". Cambria loves to brush her teeth. We find toothbrushes everywhere from where she climbed up on her stool and got one off the counter.
Cambria knows most animal noises and half her colors. She can speak in short sentences and loves to ask lots of questions!! Her favorite activity by far is dancing! She loves to sing along to the music in the morning and especially dance. One of her teachers says that Cambria will be a music star in the future. She loves music time at school and whenever they sing the songs and dance, she is right up front and center. She loves it when you sing the songs with her they sing at school, she gives you a grin like you found out a secret! Cambria also loves to pray. She's been doing this since she started school in August. She's a little busy girl with a big heart.
