Galleria

We went to Houston Saturday to run some errands and so we decided to stop by the Galleria to look around. We wanted to find Santa so we went down to the ice skating rink...no Santa! We decided to eat dinner instead. Even after asking around, no one knew where Santa was! Guess he had to head back to to the North Pole...we will continue searching else where!

Our Duckling...a little late

Here are our Halloween pictures of Cambria and our family. It's amazing how busy life is. This is the first time I've had in a month to sit down and put these up! This night was fun. We took her to my in laws neighborhood Trick or Treat. It was around their park and there was a band with music. She didn't get much candy but for a 1 1/2 year old I think that is completely fine! She's just happy to have a sucker. In the spirit of being a frugilista, I tried her duck costume on her and it fit (within centimeters) so I decided it would work again this year since she really didn't get to use it last year except for a couple pictures. We were going to have her be a Tech cheerleader but I forgot it. That's why Todd is wearing his Wes Welker jersey. It was a fun night and I'm looking forward to next year!

Update

So, my camera got left behind in SA a few weeks ago so I haven't been able to post/take any pictures. We have had a busy few weeks lately because swim season has started! Todd has an amazing swim team and the kids are doing very well. It is hard now to chase a toddler on deck and make sure she doesn't try to join them. She loves all the attention they give her, though!!
Cambria is doing well in daycare and absolutely loves her teachers. She had fun in the costume parade and received Best Costume in her duck outfit. I used the one from last year since all she did last year was sit in it and take a few pictures! It was too cute to waste. Other than a busy few weeks...we are all doing great!

Rain, rain, go away!

Since we live in Houston and it rains a lot, I decided to buy us rain boots. I couldn't find any for me but I found these boots for Cambria. I wanted to just try them on to see how they fit but she fell in love with them and didn't want to take them off. She just walked around the store with them on and the elastic that binds them together on! It looked like she had just gotten off a horse! I was afraid she was going to run into someone or something....now, just need to find some for me!

17 months

Cambria turned 17 months yesterday! She is just constantly going going going!!! She cries now when I pick her up from daycare. The other kids want to go with me but not my own child... :) She can say so many words like bottle, baby, ball, dog, go, eat, all done, mommy, daddy, nana, up, down, poop, night night, bye, hi, hey, what that....the list goes on and on. She is a whirlwind and the only time she somewhat slows down is in the bathtub but even then she's inventing things to do with her toys! She also loves to mimic right now....she does everything I do! It's hilarious! We can't wait for what's in store for our girl...she's so much fun!

San Antonio Visit...number two and the Pumpkin Patch

All of us came to San Antonio last weekend to take care of some business. We went to stay with my dad since he was out of town when we came last time. My dad and I took Cambria to the pumpkin patch while Todd went to watch a few coaching buddies dual swim meet. Cambria did not want to touch or sit next to the pumpkins at the patch. She would only let me hold her by them. She kept wiping off her hands and did not want to pick out a pumpkin...even a little one! This explains last year when I tried to put her by them and she just cried. My super clean baby does not like these germy pumpkins! Again, we had fun seeing family!!

San Antonio Visit...number one!

We went to San Antonio the weekend of Columbus Day since I was off. We had fun eating and shopping then just spending time with family! Friday night I went to a SV game with my friend Adriana who teaches there now. We had a blast catching up and seeing former students! It was funny to see the dynamic of my MS kids versus my HS kids. The MS kids would run up and hug me and go on and on about how I needed to come back....the HS kids would just casually wave and say hi...adding a few details but acted much "cooler" :)

New baby

Cambria with her new baby "bebe". She loves the baby especially when she becomes useful for standing on to reach things!!

Go Red Raiders!

In the traditional Red Raider spirit...Cambria had to don her red and black for game day Saturday. It doesn't matter that queso and rice got on it....she's a true Red Raider fan! We went to Lupe Tortilla in The Woodlands to meet up with my college friend and bridesmaid, Katy. We love that she lives here and we can see her more often! We cheered on our Red Raiders at her house and made her stick to her "five year plan" for having children...we may have added a month or so to that... :)
