On Sunday, August 24th our family lost a dear friend to her battle with cancer. Terri was a wonderful woman and always fun to be around! Please pray for her family and especially the two young daughters that are left coping with the loss of their mother.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
Cambria turned 3 months on Friday! It's been a crazy week with Todd and I going back to work. Todd is starting a new school and so is Cambria. That was the hardest part this week! She seemed to love it but I cried about 4 times that day!!! The quilt behind Cambria was made by one of my really good friends as a surprise. She made it by hand and it is SO good!! Cambria's stats- Length 23.5 in Weight-13.8 lb Head-40 cm
Cambria has been starting to try to sit up when we have her in a reclined position. So, I've started putting her in the sitting position with the boppy around her just in case! She maintains the sitting up position for awhile. Here, she was watching the Olympics...probably swimming because that's what Daddy has it on all the time!
Thursday, the 14th was my birthday. Cambria was super good and I was happy to spend my 27th birthday with my baby for the first time. We went up to SVMS and helped for about 2 hours. It was fun to see everyone especially my students whom I left before the end of the year to have Cambria. They were all running up to see her, even the boys!! Then we met Grandpa (my dad) and he took us to PF Changs for lunch. Cambria loved the lights on the ceiling and did really good while we ate. Then we met up with Todd who had been in teacher training and he took us shopping and to Pappasito's for dinner. Todd and Cambria gave me an Americus Diamond gift certificate! Todd had put it in Cambria's hands as she slept. All in all it was a good day! Thanks for the phone calls I received..they made it even more special!
This Tuesday-Friday, I had to be in Dallas for a teaching conference so I brought my family with me. This was Cambria's first road trip! She did okay for the first 3 hours and then was fussy the last hour. It was a great trip overall and we had a lot of fun! I wish we could've stayed longer.
The Poms trying to be nonchalant in their bag.
Cuddling with dad.
Right before I had to go to my Family Consumer Sciences teachers conference Wednesday.
We got to see the Parson's family on our trip and their beautiful /super sweet baby Claire. Hopefully in the future we will get to see Claire and Cambria interact. It was mostly just staring this time!! Seeing that their dads roomed together at Tech we're hoping to make this a Nall-Parsons tradition!
Cambria was trying out Claire's activity center and she liked it!
While I was getting ready, Cambria wanted to be held. She would see herself in the mirror on the back of the door. She would coo and laugh! We got video of this, too.
We got to see our friends, Gabi and Eric while we were there. We can't wait until they have their own baby. They will make such awesome parents!!
Ready to go home!!!
Tired from the trip, Cambria slept the whole way back!! I had to get her up to feed/change her!!
Sunday was Tiffany's baby shower. It was really fun and nice to see everyone again! We're expecting Little Miss Hailey Jo to arrive at the end of September. Cambria can't wait!!
Cambria's Great Granddad turned 80 on the 4th. Happy Birthday Great Granddad!! Can you believe that Cambria is his 4th great grandchild? Wow! He is one of the nicest men you will ever meet.
