8. December 25th-Cambria's first Christmas & we were snowed in!

As 2008 comes to an end we can't help but be thankful for all of the blessings God has given us this year. We look to the future and are excited for what is in store for us. Thank you to all of our friends and family, we love you!

Hobson Christmas

We stopped at my parents house on our way home from Colorado to open gifts since we didn't want to haul everything up there and back. Cambria got clothes, toys and the play "fort" I asked for! Here are some pictures.

Nall Christmas

Todd's parents gave Cambria her gifts early since we were headed to Colorado. She got a couple outfits and a ball popper. Here's a few pictures.

Colorado Christmas

Right when school was done for the year on Friday the 19th, Todd, Cambria and I headed to Lubbock. We met up with my family and headed to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Our wish for Cambria this year was to have a white Christmas. Well, she had a VERY white Christmas! It was so beautiful and so was the drive up there actually. We got snowed in on Christmas Day. We went skiing at Wolf Creek and visited downtown Durango and Purgatory (the #5 best Christmas town according to HGTV). It was a wonderful 1st Christmas for Cambria! Christmas Coyote

We were out buying me a car last night and at the dealership they had the Spurs Coyote! Cambria loved him and kept shrieking when he would walk by. It was cute.

Family Photographs

On Saturday, our family went down to Guadalupe State Park to take some photographs. We asked our friend Nicole Chatham to photograph us. You can see some of the pictures on her blog, www.nicolechatham.com/blog
She does such a great job and I can't believe this is just her hobby right now! We love her!! They turned out SO good and I can't wait to see the rest. It was a really fun time.

Happy Turkey Day!

For Turkey Day, we went with Todd's parents, brother, sister, cousin and her family, grandparents and aunt and her husband to the Grand Hyatt on the Riverwalk. It was a Mexican Restaurant that served favorites like fajitas and all the traditionals with a Mexican twist. It was SO good!!! I highly recommend that place. Cambria did really god being passed around to everyone. She barely ate her Thanksgiving meal of carrots!

6 Months Old!

Cambria turned six months old last Saturday, so today we had our six month well baby appointment. We saw a different doctor, Dr. Wilke, today. She was awesome and said she had a little girl two months older than Cambria. Cambria went right to her and wanted her to hold her!! So, we looked at Cambria's growth charts while Dr. Wilke held her. Cambria had to get four shots today, including her flu shot. Her are some of Cambria's measurements and stats from today.
Length-26 in. (50th percentile)
Weight-16 lbs and 7 oz. (50th percentile)
Head-42 cm (50th percentile)

Some of what Cambria can do:
Recognizes faces
Smiles and laughs
Shrieks in the grocery store (especially if it's quiet)
Says "da da" and knows Todd when you ask where da da is
Can roll over both ways
Sits up for short periods of time or "tripods"
Can stand with assistance
Eats solids and tries to direct the spoon
Is a mama's girl :)

Busy Saturday

We had a big Saturday and it started EARLY!! Todd had to be up at the pool by 8 am for the TISCA meet. Cambria and I ate breakfast and headed into town to watch Todd's meet. When prelims were over we headed to the Alamodome to watch Smithson Valley win against O'Connor. Then we ate real quick and headed back to the pool for finals. Todd had two swimmers compete. The boy got sick and couldn't swim but his girl was entered into two races and came in second in her 400 IM. Then we headed home to watch what we thought would be a good game against OU but alas, not so much! Well, at least Smithson Valley isn't disappointing us! They are playing again Friday.

UT Weekend-A little late!

We went to Lubbock for UT weekend to see my sister. We weren't able to get tickets after a few attempts so we watched the game at my sister's house. It was really fun to be in that town when they won. It was crazy! We had so much fun seeing my sister. I love you Valerie! We'll see you in a week!!
