Cambria is here!

Our Story
On Wednesday, May 21st at 7 pm, I went into contractions. I had thought it was false labor due to the fact that I had been at the doctor at 4 pm. I figured she had just triggered something. Well...she did! So, at 10 pm we headed to the hospital and they checked me in and I was 3 cm. The pain started becoming really intense so at around 4 am I asked for the epidural. Then, my doctor came in at 7 am and broke my water. I dilated up to 8 cm about 3 hours later. They then checked me again and I was still at 8 cm at 11 am so they started pitocin to get me all the way. This is about the point that the epidural wore off. Wow, did I feel everthing and it was NOT fun! Well, about 1 pm they came in and said I'd be pushing about 2 pm. That was very exciting and I was so ready. However, this is when the epidural wore off for the second time. They turned it up a little but all it seemed to do was make my legs go more numb. Not exactly what I was hoping for! Well, pushing lasted about 2 hours and the end result was SO worth it! After 22 hours of labor, Cambria is here!

We are now at home and loving every minute of being with her. I am so very lucky and blessed. My pregnancy was wonderful with no problems and I have a beautiful daughter who is very healthy.
