Some bunny loves you....

My fabulous smart sister is going to be a phD very soon. She went to look at apartments a week ago and I couldn't go. She missed us and sent us presents, though, back with my mom. Cambria got these super cute bunny ears. She loves them and thinks she looks funny! Anyhow, we love you Valerie and thank you!

Extended Spring Break

Cambria stayed with Grandmother, Grandad and Kaleigh for an extended Spring Break after ours. She had so much fun! They went to the zoo almost everyday because Cambria loved it so much. I'll post more pictures as soon as I get them.

San Antonio Visit

These pictures are from Spring Break when we went down to visit San Antonio at the end of the week. We had a lot of fun relaxing and visiting our families. Here are a few of Cambria exploring my parents yard. She loves to be outside and it's very hard to get her back inside. I can't wait until summer when we can be in my parents pool. She loves to swim and loves water so that will be fun!

Happy St Patrick's Day and other things...

Ever since my younger years in Dublin, OH, I've been fully aware of St. Patrick's Day. I mean, the high school mascot was a Shamrock. There was always a big parade and the whole town celebrated this day. When I moved to San Antonio, it wasn't as big of a deal. Many people just wore green or drank a green beer and that was the end of it. I've now joined my fellow Texans and don't do much on this holiday. The only thing we celebrate is that it is our dog's birthday. In the spirit of the holiday, Cambria is wearing green. Even green bows that don't match her shirt! Just don't want this cutie to get pinched....

Miss Independent

With her wipes...that she climbed up and got...we call her the "mountain goat"
Always curious...she wants to know what I'm doing...of course the smiles are gone when I snap the picture!
She was eating a snack, or "nack" and felt she needed a bib...so she borrowed one!
Cuddled up with "Bebe" on her arm like she does with me...it melted my heart

So I took several pictures from several angles

Cambria LOVES to clean and pick up. She always wants wipes and she loves to help. She even does this at school. I came in one day and she was mimicking her teacher who was cleaning up a spill on the floor with a towel under her shoe! Too funny!!

Cambria has begun a new phase of mimicking everything she sees and hears. We love it!! It's so funny to see what she does and who she's copying. Cambria even tried to diaper Todd one day!!!

She loves "Wheels on the Bus" and we sing it every morning on the way to school since all the buses are out for the kids. She especially likes our made-up verse "the Cami on the bus says "no no no" ". She even shakes her finger for it!

We are also in the fun times of toddler-hood. She loves to be independent yet still wants to cuddle and love on whomever is with her. She LOVES her "Bebe" and she will play hide and seek, make baby's hands do Wheels on the Bus or just point to stuff outside and tell baby what it is.

Cambria is also very loving. She loves to give kisses and hugs. Her hugs in the morning and after picking her up from school are the best! Makes all the stress melt away! We enjoy seeing how much she's changing and what she's learned each day. It's amazing!

A few of my favorites

Here are a few of my favorite photos this week...she had a Valentine's party at school and then we went to watch Todd's Regional Swim Meet. We took the little Valentine home to San Antonio for the day Saturday and headed back Sunday. It was fun to be home and see our families. Cambria was well loved, as always!
She found a stash of her pacifiers from infanthood. She had didn't have much interest in them...just like when she was a baby. It was a cute picture, though. Books and babies are our favorite toys lately. She loves to read and be a little mommy. She carries a baby around all day at school and we have to put baby "night-night" when I pick her up.
Elmo ("Mo mo") and Abby Cadabby ("Babby") are also high on the list and she requests her two favorite DVD's, Elmo's Pets and Abby in Wonderland, every day! I caught Todd singing one of the songs on the way to church Sunday...it's hard not to know ALL of the words when you hear them at least twice daily!

History Repeating

Cambria is able to do a lot of tasks now that her fine motor and gross motor skills are being improved. She loves to shut doors and drawers. Today was no exception. She was helping me in the kitchen feed the dogs. I walked outside to feed Natalya and I hear the door shut behind me. In the window is a little face smiling at me and laughing! Well, she had locked the door...that's what the smile was! After a little coaxing, she unlocked the door and I went back in....forgetting my phone outside! Well, as you may have guessed...she locked me out a second time! Luckily I had a hidden key. Although, I will now hide a SECOND key, just in case.
The reason I say it's history repeating is that one of my mom's favorite stories is the one where I locked her and my dad out. They had to go next door and get a hammer to break the window. One of them distracting me at the back door so that I wouldn't get cut. I was curious then and ran to check out the loud noise.
This is Cambria in a nutshell....my curious and mischeivious first born....she keeps me on my toes!
