San Antonio Visit...number two and the Pumpkin Patch

All of us came to San Antonio last weekend to take care of some business. We went to stay with my dad since he was out of town when we came last time. My dad and I took Cambria to the pumpkin patch while Todd went to watch a few coaching buddies dual swim meet. Cambria did not want to touch or sit next to the pumpkins at the patch. She would only let me hold her by them. She kept wiping off her hands and did not want to pick out a pumpkin...even a little one! This explains last year when I tried to put her by them and she just cried. My super clean baby does not like these germy pumpkins! Again, we had fun seeing family!!

San Antonio Visit...number one!

We went to San Antonio the weekend of Columbus Day since I was off. We had fun eating and shopping then just spending time with family! Friday night I went to a SV game with my friend Adriana who teaches there now. We had a blast catching up and seeing former students! It was funny to see the dynamic of my MS kids versus my HS kids. The MS kids would run up and hug me and go on and on about how I needed to come back....the HS kids would just casually wave and say hi...adding a few details but acted much "cooler" :)

New baby

Cambria with her new baby "bebe". She loves the baby especially when she becomes useful for standing on to reach things!!

Go Red Raiders!

In the traditional Red Raider spirit...Cambria had to don her red and black for game day Saturday. It doesn't matter that queso and rice got on it....she's a true Red Raider fan! We went to Lupe Tortilla in The Woodlands to meet up with my college friend and bridesmaid, Katy. We love that she lives here and we can see her more often! We cheered on our Red Raiders at her house and made her stick to her "five year plan" for having children...we may have added a month or so to that... :)

Birthday Visit

Today, Todd's parents and grandparents and other family came to Kingwood to celebrate his birthday. Todd got to ride the saddle at Texas Roadhouse, balloon in hand, making us so proud!! Lucky for him, one of his athletes is a hostess there....I'm pretty sure that she saw it all and will be helping to encourage the others to embarrass him on his real birthday tomorrow! I love you honey! :)

Sick day!

Yesterday, I was called by Cambria's daycare regarding her eye. It was extremely swollen and she kept rubbing it. I knew that a mosquito had bitten her in the corner so I figured she was allergic to the insect bite. When I picked her up, her eye was almost swollen shut and appeared like she had been hit!! Well, I erred on the side of caution (and because she also had a bad diaper rash) and took her to the med clinic. We don't have a pediatrician here yet since we've been here three-four weeks all of which has been work, work, work. After 3. 5 hours at the med clinic we found out she has cellulitis. It's common form of bacteria is staph. So, her insect bite reacted with her skin causing cellulitis. Add in that she's also in daycare and there's other possible contributing factors. They gave her a general antibiotic shot as well as took her blood (in both arms!!!!). So, we are having a sick day today since she cannot return to school just yet.

The picture was taken after she had had a dose of Benydryl! So you can imagine how it looked before!

Kingwood is awesome!

As you can see, we continue to be B U S Y! Today has been nice, though since we got to slow down a bit and take in the beautiful scenery around us! Todd had practice this morning so when Cambria woke up, I took her on an adventure. We checked out all the greenbelt trails and our park. She loved climbing, swinging and discovering a new area. It's a great park! She loved going down there in her little car and managed to work in a few phone calls while she went! Here's a few photos of our adventure and our house.
