EMS Visit

Cambria and I had a doctor's appointment this morning to have them check her bug bites that won't go away. So, I ran up to my school to give my lesson plan to the sub and I got a call from Todd saying that EMS was on their way to our house!!! Cambria fell off our bed and hit her head on the tile. Well, I got home right when they were checking her out in their truck. That was scary! They said she was okay and all her vitals were normal. She just had a big bump on her head. The EMT said he would not take her to the hospital if I promised to take her to the doctor right away. It was a scary morning especially to see your baby in an ambulance.

My Hair!

So, I was curious to see what my hair would look like brown...here it is! I may dye it a little darker, but I like it! I think it's almost the same as my sister's color!

First Haircut

Cambria got her first haircut today and Grandmother got to cut it! She cut hair during college and so we thought it would be a fun and memorable moment to have her give Cambria her first haircut.
BEFORE

Look at that long hair!

Grandmother had to hold Cambria's face since she kept wanting to look around and grab the comb!

Someone had to have entertainment! :)
And her own comb! Make that two combs!
AFTER
Notice how it's all even and pretty. Now it can just grow, grow, grow!!! Thanks Grandmother! You did a fabulous job!!

Weekend Wrap-up

We had a wonderful weekend getting to spend time with Cambria. Here's a few new of our new experiences....

Our first temper tantrum! Although, later, I discovered ant bites on her ankles and she's got two top teeth coming in...oh, and she was tired to boot! So, it wasn't completely a temper tantrum...she just needed to cuddle with mommy.

BEFORE
We turned Cambria's car seat around so that she could have a better view. She's almost there in age and definitely in weight. Nana wanted to see what Cambria would do with licorice....
AFTER
Notice the big smile? She loved the licorice and my mom now wants to find the picture of me looking the same way to compare the two. Unfortunately I cannot eat licorice around Cambria now without her wanting to share!

We went to Alamo Cafe twice this week!! We love it so much!

Peekaboo! I see you! Cambria was playing and watching Elmo. We've had so much fun together so far. I'm excited that we still have a whole WEEK left!!! Yay!!!

Swine Flu

Todd and I got a phone call last night saying that our school district is closed until May 11th so that they can clean all the schools and buses in hopes of preventing the spread of Swine Flu in our county and district. There are three cases under investigation but I'm hoping and crossing my fingers that these are not teachers and/or students. The district to the east of us has closed their schools indefinitely. We are keeping a constant eye on Cambria and she seems to be very healthy.

Now that we have all this unexpected free time. We are having fun and spending tons of quality time together. It is so nice! Cambria and Todd read a book this morning which ironically is called Olivia about a pig! Notice Todd's new haircut...he bet his students that he would shave his head if they made Regionals for Water polo and they did! Cambria was also practicing walking with her new walker Nana got her. She loves it! We also had fun playing peekaboo! I am so excited that I get all this uninterrupted time with my family. However, we have been praying for those families affected by Swine flu, especially the family of the little boy in Houston.
