Spring Break

The Nall family drove the "Texas Triangle" this week. We went to Houston first to check it out to see if that's where our future lies. Then from Houston we drove to Dallas for Todd's company meetings for WIN (Wellness International Network) in Plano. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to be together so much. Yesterday we completed the triangle and headed home to San Antonio. It was a great spring break!

Cambria and I were playing with my iPhone camera while waiting for Todd in the lobby of WIN. Notice the fuzziness by her arms...it's because they were moving fast!! :)

Girls group shot at Maggiano's in Plano. Eloise and Cambria just loved playing with each other in the booth. Lucie was just a laid back baby and so sweet! It was fun for me to get to see the Surratt girls! Next time Pat and Todd need to join in!

Outside the Dallas World Aquarium ready to go meet up with Kelly/Eloise/Lucie and Lisa/Claire. We had SO much fun with the Surratt's and Parson's. We did, however miss Pat and Brad. We need to all get together next time! We miss you guys!

My new favorite picture!!

The girls ready to start the adventure!

Cambria got a close up view of this cute little bird. I think he wanted her to feed him.

Claire and Cambria chatting about something they see!
The girls! Times two! Oddly, if you compare our picture to the little girls, we are lined up the same way with Parsons on the left, Nall middle, and Surratt right! Not on purpose!! I wish we lived closer to these families. We would have SO much fun together.

This was the underwater view of a tank with very large fish and turtles. The were as big as humans! Cambria would cry when you get her close to the glass. She wasn't like that with the sharks, though.

This was the mom's favorite exhibit, I think. The sharks. The kids loved it and Cambria was watching them swim overhead in amazement. Look at Claire walking around so well!!

Cambria loved the flamingo's bright colors and their feisty attitudes! They were the loudest exhibit.

Checking out the "cat" or rather the leopard.

Cambria was checking out the tropical fish swimming overhead

Eloise was telling Cambria about the penguins

Back home to San Antonio!

Ten months!

Here are a few of my favorite recent "ten month birthday" pictures. Cambria smiles SO much. It is rare to see her unhappy. She is however a diva and lets us know what she wants! She points now...she used this particular talent when Valerie was eating her Cheerios and wasn't too happy about it! She claps her hands...especially after she eats a Cheerio or star. She dances and all you have to say is "dance, baby, dance" and she shakes her whole body side-to-side. She is crawling!! She was doing an interesting three-legged crawl in which she dragged one of her back feet with her but she's now corrected that! I did get it on film however!! Cambria can also repeat words after you such as "dada, mama, duck, okay (K), cat, dog". She also loves to talk to herself and she just laughs at whatever she's talking about. She can wave a little. Usually it's after the person has left. She grabs for EVERYTHING! So, as I write this, she is in her laundry basket so that she can't keep pushing the keyboard letters!

This last picture was just priceless! This was right before we lowered her bed. She had taught herself to pull up on the side. I guess I wasn't coming fast enough to come get her out. What's funny is is that about 30 seconds after you pick her up....she starts laughing and patting you on the shoulder.

Starting our Spring Break

Cambria and I headed over to my parent's house this weekend to see Valerie. She so graciously watched Cambria for me that Wednesday through Friday since it was her Spring Break. Cambria loved spending time with Aunt Valerie. We got in the hot tub for a little bit before Valerie had to leave for a shower. It was a lot of fun and as you can tell...Cambria really enjoyed it. She was upset with us for taking her out!

My baby CAN crawl!!

Cambria just loves laundry baskets. We buy her all these cool toys and this is her favorite! She will cry when you pick her up out of it. She loves to play in it and pull herself up to a standing position. She also likes to rock it, so we have to prop it real good!

Cambria and the dogs. They wanted to check out her moves! Tinkerbell however, got her fur pulled in the process. Poor dog!

Cambria can crawl! Yay! We thought Cambria would skip right over this step. Until now, she has just been scooting around on her butt and pulling up on things to stand. She surprised us this week and started crawling...out of the blue! I'm sure it will be a short time until she walks. She wants to be mobile so badly.

GOING

GOING.....GONE

Cambria LOVES Cheerios and especially to feed herself. It's hard to capture on camera but she was clapping her hands after eating one!

This is our typical morning dropping off Cambria. Adison and Cambria just love each other and make each other laugh. As always, Cambria is trying to get at Adison's hair! Notice how Cambria's feet are starting to hang off the end of her carrier. She's almost done with it!

Before I Was a Mom

This is an awesome poem. Those of you who are mom's will love this.

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at nightwatching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy,the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
