A few moments this week

This is what Cambria's hair looked like after her bath this morning!! It's even more spikey when it's wet!!

Little 'Miss Nall'. Cambria came with me to school Tuesday morning while she waited for Todd to come pick her up. She loves my key chain and wanted to sit in my chair. She looked like a little teacher!! All the kids were gathering around her and even coming from other classes to see her. Word got out that she was there and by 5th period one of the kids was looking for her and thought I had hid her in a closed/locked closet!! She had been gone since before 1st period. I would not be a very good Home Eco. teacher if that's what I did seeing that we always talk about child abuse in our Child Development unit.

On Wednesday, Cambria and I went to go see Tiffany and Hailey. It's amazing how fast Cambria and Hailey have grown and developed. They were having fun playing with the bag that Cambria's gift from Hailey came in. It was funny to watch. Cambria liked the noise the bag made and chewing on it. Hailey liked the pretty purple ribbon. Pretty soon we are going to have to watch these two. They may be double trouble!!! It was really nice to see Tiff and Hailey.

Saturday was finals for District Swimming. We went to watch Todd's team and cheer on the Rangers. They did really well and Todd will advance 11 swimmers to Regionals on February 13th. Cambria was just laughing and laughing. She loves her dad!

Our Weekend

C is for Cambria and crawling!! We're working on the crawling thing. She can turn and move backwards now. She's getting close! Cambria is also sporting her "Respect your mother" shirt and pink shoes from Aunt Valerie. She absolutely loves those shoes. She rotates her feet and grabs them for a closer look. Oddly, this is her first pair which is weird because I have at least 50! :) I don't think it will take long for her to catch up to her mother and her aunt!

It's the little things like a balloon and shopping cart that make Cambria happy! While we waited for my car to have a part put in it we got her a balloon to play with. I have NEVER heard her laugh so much or so hard in her life. Unfortunately, some of that laughter was when it would hit me! She also LOVES riding in the shopping cart. I would catch her rocking it, too!

Kaleigh was showing Todd all the cool Disney shows he needs to be up to date with for Cambria!

The girl just loves her accessories!! My sunglasses and cell phone are her favorite things to take from me. This was at Kaleigh's basketball game. She did very well! We might be watching her play varsity at SVHS one day!
Cam and Grandmother

This is her cute ballerina cats outfit Grandmother Paula got for her. She loved it so much she fell asleep in it that night! The socks were ballet slippers, too cute!

Cambria met Todd's Uncle Steve this weekend for the first time. She showed off for him and entertained him for a full hour!! :)

8 months!

I can't believe it's already been 8 months! That's crazy. Cambria has changed SO much since then and her personality is REALLY showing through. She is starting to become mobile. She loves her jumperoo so she can dance and a walker at daycare that she jets around the room with. She has also been rocking and all fours so we are getting prepared for her to be getting into everything!!
She can say a few "words" like dada, mama, wawa, and uh oh. She is always smiling. The high schoolers at the Kids Club where we work out said Cambria was such a happy baby. That's always awesome to hear, especially when I feel like I'm being selfish by putting her in there so I can work out.
She has also become a little of a "bully". One of the workers is Todd's student at SVHS and she said that Cambria stole a 12 month old boys toy when he walked by. When he started crying, Cambria laughed!! Also, at daycare she ran over another baby's hand with the walker and that baby avoided her the rest of the day. I don't blame them!! When Todd was told all of this, he laughed and said she was just like her mother. Which unfortunately is true!

Cambria's statistics:
Height-28 in (50 %)
Weight-19.14 lbs (66 %)

Teeth!

Cambria has two new teeth on the bottom! We discovered them two days after Christmas and they've been working their way up ever since. She likes to use them on everything and it hurts when she bites you...especially if you aren't paying attention!

10 Random Facts

I was tagged by my friend, Kelly, to share 10 random facts about myself. So here goes!

1. I am generally not OCD but I have a few things that could be categorized that way. I love using calendars. This goes back to high school and having to organize everything. I used them religously in college, too. I have to have a certain monthly calendar with big squares and I only use the thin Crayola markers to write on it. Each event/item has to have it's own color.

2. My other OCD thing has to do with running. I won't stop running until the treadmill or whatever machine I'm on has ended on a mile number or a half mile number. The other hard part about that is I like to stop running when the time ends in a five or zero, such as 20 min or 25 min. So, I'm constantly running until both the time and distance match up!!

3. I love board games like Catch Phrase, Rumikub, and Connect Four. I like games like Sudoku, too that make you think. I really like playing these at holidays and family gatherings.

4. I am super competitive. This has to do with the man I married!! Surprise, a coach is competitive!! Todd and I compete even over little things such as who can get to the computer the fastest!!! It actually makes certain tasks more fun...such as working out.

5. I don't usually like soda but ever since pregnancy, I love Coca-cola, the regular kind. I hadn't had it for four years previous to that and now I'm finding it a hard habit to kick. I love fountain Coke especially!

6. I am obsessed with personalized items that have your name or initials on it. I guess this goes back to when I was little and could never find my name on anything. I was always jealous that my sister could.

7. I love to watch crime TV (something we have in common, Kelly!) I love to watch "Cold Case Files", "Snapped", and other documentary type crime shows! Also, fictional ones like "Law and Order: SVU". I also like reading about true crime especially Sue Grafton. I also like reality TV, I guess that goes along with my nosiness! The City is an awesome show.

8. I have a new favorite show that I can't get enough of, Scrubs!! I love love love this show. We watched it on the way to and from Colorado and now I can't get enough of it. I like how light-hearted it is.

9. I LOVE the Twilight book series (We also have this in common Kelly!!). They are so addicting. I actually get excited to come home and read them!

10. My pet peeve is overweight children!! Whew, that was hard. I don't normally tell people that one! I just feel like it's the parents responsibility to watch what their children eat so that bad habits don't form for them later in life.

OK, now that you know all my dorky stuff, I tag Tiff, Lisa, and Gabby! I hope this is easier for you guys than it was for me! :)

Our "Last" Weekend

This weekend was fun and we did a lot of stuff before we go back to school on Monday. Friday, my sister made plans for a bunch of us to go eat at Maggiano's before she headed back to Lubbock. We miss you Valerie and I'm glad we go to see you for two whole weeks!

Saturday evening we went to one of my favorite student's Quincenera party. Cambria loved it! She was dancing and shrieking. She also sat in Dacoda's lap and played with her beautiful dress. My student aide from last year, Morgan was in the party (it's a bad angle, but unfortunately the only picture we took). It was really nice to see my old students who are all high schoolers now. I miss them!! Dacoda looked beautiful and we were glad to share Cambria with her.

Today while I ran some last minute errands for the week, Todd and Cambria put together her ball popper. She LOVES it! I was amazed at how much she can do with it already! Good choice Grandmother Paula!
